Global demand for oil continues to rise, and there are riches to be made by anyone who can get shipments of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.
The aim of the game is to win $FLIP by sending oil ships through the Strait. The world needs shiploads of oil and its up to you to get it to them.
Hormuz Run is a fully-on chain game, which is completely permissionless. User funds are held and managed by the verified on-chain program, which nobody can interfere with, including the developer.
Hormuz Run was built by AnAllergyToAnalogy.
To send an oil shipment, enter the number of barrels you want to send, and choose how much you want to sell it for.
The higher the markup, the more profit you will make. But oil with a higher sale price carries more risk, and you may not make it through the strait.
As oil demand grows, a demand multiplier applies to all successful shipments. But the more oil that is shipped, the lower the demand will get.
A bonus for successful shipments will also be paid to any shipment that makes it through after failed attempts.
The cost per barrel to send an oil shipment
is $F --
The payout for a successful shipment is as follows
Payout per barrel =
sale price
* demand multiplier
+ success bonus
The Demand Multiplier is dynamic, it slowly increases with time, but decreases when a success shipment makes it through the Strait.
The Success Bonus is also dynamic. It increases after each failed shipment, and is then paid to the first successful shipment.
